What was happening here is there was a suspected IED. The ordinance disposal guys put a charge on it, with time fuse. The dog wandered in there after they had set the fuse, which can’t be stopped at that point. After the charge goes off you see the guy step out of the cougar. No one deliberately blew up the dog. These guys laughing at that isn’t pretty, but it’s also a by product of war. Russians in Chechenya, which I witnessed first hand, were way, way worse than any Americans I’ve ever seen.
