In 1954 the US government pulled some really sick shit, they needed a place to test the hydrogen bomb and found a central pacific island to do it at. Showing very little regard for the inhabitants, they turned the island and the surrounding islands into a radioactive wasteland. Having grossly underestimated the size of the blast and fallout zone, they never evacuated or informed the surrounding islands of the threat.

The following are 2 videos of Early US atomic weapons tests.

In the morning of March 1st 1954 people living on the islands surrounding a place called Bikini Island or Bikini Atoll watched in amazement as 2 suns rose in the sky. Shortly thereafter, it began to snow white ash and the islands water supply became brackish.

“Children played in the fallout; their mothers watched in horror as night came and they began to show the physical signs of exposure. The people experienced severe vomiting and diarrhea, their hair began to fall out, the island fell into a state of terrified panic.”

This is from the testing of atomic weapons on Bikini Island by the United States. Scientists underestimated the explosion and created a radioactive disaster that went far outside the evacuated areas.

The people on the neighboring islands received no explanations or warnings whatsoever from the United States government. Two days after the test some of the native people got medical treatment.

The radiation levels made the area uninhabitable for decades to come with the area finally being settled in the early 70’s. Unfortunately for the people who had to wait decades to come home, the problem with radiation was far from over.More testing showed that the area was radioactive and the soil and water supply was contaminated. The radiation caused an increase in birth defects and cancer and in the mid 70’s, the Bikini Islanders sued the US government in order for them to do more testing.

Early in the morning on March 1, 1954, the hydrogen bomb, code named Bravo, was detonated on the surface of the reef in the northwestern corner of Bikini Atoll. The area was illuminated by a huge and expanding flash of blinding light. A raging fireball of intense heat, that measured into the millions of degrees, shot skyward at a rate of 300 miles an hour. Within minutes the monstrous cloud, filled with nuclear debris, shot up more than 20 miles and generated winds hundreds of miles per hour. These fiery gusts blasted the surrounding islands and stripped the branches and coconuts from the trees.

Joint Task Force ships, which were stationed about 40 miles east and south of Bikini in positions enabling them to monitor the test, detected the eastward movement of the radioactive cloud from the 15 megaton blast. They recorded a steady increase in radiation levels that became so high that all men were ordered below decks and all hatches and watertight doors were sealed.

Millions of tons of sand, coral, plant and sea life from Bikini’s reef, from three islands and the surrounding lagoon waters were sent high into the air by the blast. One and a half hours after the explosion, 23 fishermen aboard the Japanese fishing vessel, the Lucky Dragon, watched in awe as a “gritty white ash” began to fall on them. The men aboard the ship were oblivious to the fact that the ash was the fallout from a hydrogen bomb test. Shortly after being exposed to the fallout their skin began to itch and they experienced nausea and vomiting. One man died.

atomic-test-2.jpgOn Bikini Atoll the radiation levels increased dramatically. And, in late March following the Bravo test, the off-limits zones were expanded to include the inhabited atolls of Rongerik, Utirik, Ujelang and Likiep. It is startling to note that none of these islanders were evacuated prior to this blast or even before the subsequent nuclear weapons tests. In the spring of 1954, Bikar, Ailinginae, Rongelap, Rongerik, were all contaminated by the Yankee and Union weapon tests which were detonated on Bikini Atoll. They yielded the equivalent of 6.9 and 13.5 megatons of TNT respectively.

Bush Calls For Mideast Truce So U.S. Can Attack Iraq

From the horses ass in Washington, D.C. (SatireWire.com) — Complaining that the window of opportunity was closing, an exasperated President Bush today called on Israelis and Palestinians to declare an immediate cease fire in order to allow the United States to invade Iraq.

“Look, I understand you guys have problems, but the more you fight, the more awkward it is for us to get Arab support,” Bush said. “So if you guys could just hold off for a few days, we’ll run in there, do our thing, and get out.”

In telephone conversations with Bush, however, neither Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon nor Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat appeared to be moved by the President’s further lament that America now has 80,000 troops in the region, “and the catering bill alone is killing me.”

Instead, Sharon suggested Bush seek approval from Arab nations by blowing up Arab nations, while Arafat suggested the President could get his way by blowing up himself.

So what does one do when you are in serious need of a smoke, have the cigarette, but damn… there are no matches around. This fool figured it out, Use The AK-47 around his shoulder.

Yep, they may not have matches, but they all have really big ass guns and at the end of the day, when there is nobody left to shoot at, you might as well make use of those guns anyway ya can, even if it is to light a smoke.

Everyone, including myself, who has complained about our governments needs to be introduced to Darfur.

So how bad can a region be in modern times… pretty freaking horrid.

What we all should be complaining about is how can something like this be going on. How can hundreds of thousands of people get killed for being born.

Everyone on this planet has now seen or heard about the craziness in Darfur… but here it is again!

Below is a very, very graphic video of the things that have happened and may still be happening around the planet… this is Dafur, where they have been fighting for sometime.

The sickl thing here is that its not a war where its one military against another, this is more of a tribal war that puts the government and militia against civilians.

here is the Darfur Video of a man getting his limbs cut-off

for more on the Darfur humanitarian crisis and genocide check this out. From WikipediaThe campaign of mass killing and torture began when Darfurians, fearing that an end to the generation-long conflict in southern Sudan would divide access to the country’s resources between the ruling elite and the southerners (leaving Darfur empty-handed), accused the Sudanese government of neglect. Two local rebel groups — the Justice and Equality Movement and the Sudan Liberation Movement — blaming the Sudanese government for oppressing non-Arabs in favor of Arabs, staged an armed rebellion in early 2003. Khartoum responded by unleashing the Janjaweed and the Sudanese military on the black African civilian population. The atrocities they have committed include ethnic cleansing; impeding international humanitarian efforts; bombing civilian targets; and murdering, starving, maiming, torturing, displacing, and raping civilians (Wikipedia).Apicture of a village before and after an attack, the people were killed and the homes destroyed, these are not military command post being bombed, they are just the homes of the people they would like to wipe out.

The government and Janjaweed attacks upon the civilian populace have resulted in a major humanitarian crisis. There are many casualty estimates, most concurring on a

range within the hundreds of thousands. The United Nations estimates that the conflict has left as many as 450,000 dead from violence and disease. Other organizations have put a death toll in the millions. Its hard to tell because information is being suppressed by the Sudanese government and 1000’s of bodies lay in mass graves.

The Sudanese government has been able to obscure much of what has gone on. The mass media once described the conflict as both “ethnic cleansing” and “genocide,” and now do so without hesitation. The United States government has described it as genocide.

The picture to the left is one of a child.

Throughout October 2006 Janjawid militia launched renewed attacks on villages in eastern Chad. These attacks are a direct product of the long-running crisis in Sudan’s neighbouring Darfur region, where the Janjawid militia, backed by the Sudanese government, have been attacking and systematically displacing those ethnic groups associated with Sudanese armed groups opposed to the Sudanese government.

As of July 31st 2007, the UN Security council passed resolution 1769 which authorised the deployment of a much-needed peacekeeping force for the Darfur region of Sudan. Nothing has changed yet and the horrible attacks on civilians are continuing. The UN has  deployed a handful of the peacekeepers needed.

The Office of Human Radiation Experiments, established in March 1994, leads the Department of Energy’s efforts to tell the agency’s Cold War story of radiation research using human subjects. We have undertaken an intensive effort to identify and catalog relevant historical documents from DOE’s 3.2 million

so… cool, wanted to read it… right? NOT

fo, they give a link to redirect to a new site… and that gave a link that came back to this same mess… hey…what happened here?

after a bit of digging… I found some pretty sick information, from a university site that I ended up at through some redirect..

this was the page
From 1946-1974, several agencies of the United States governmentconducted or sponsored experiments on human subjects involving

radioactive materials. The agencies included the Atomic Energy Commission and several

branches of the military services, among others.

Many such experiments resulted in valuable medical advances like

radiation treatments for cancer and the use of isotopes to

accurately diagnose illnesses.

However, the Clinton Administration has questions about whether

subjects of some experiments were treated properly.

There are indications that in some cases:

(1) some subjects may not have been notified that they were

participating in an experiment;

(2) some subjects may not have given proper informed

consent;

(3) certain subjects gave consent, but may not have been

fully informed of potential health consequences of the

experiment;

Napalm… one of the sickest things around

“You smell that? Do you smell that? Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn’t find one of ‘em, not one stinkin’ dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like - victory” Apocalypse now (1979)

boy burned by napal

The one image above may say it all… an image speaks a thousand words and this one speaks volumes about destructive weapons. I gotta say here, I watch the Military channel, I watch as the pilots fly over the targets, drop the bombs and cheer as they pat each other on the back for hitting the targets… I wonder if they would still be cheering if they saw the destruction and pain within those balls of flame.

this is edited from the definition of NAPALM Wikipedia and is what the shit is made of…

napalm desructive cloud
napalm desructive cloud
Napalm is any of a number of flammable liquids used in warfare, often jellied gasoline. Napalm is actually the thickener in such liquids, which when mixed with gasoline makes a sticky gel. The name is a combination of the names of ingredients, naphthenic and palmitic acids. These were added to the flammable substance to cause it to gel.

OK, end of the Wikipedia description for Napalm

napalm
napalm
There are many types of napalm, many different compositions of this crap are around and have been for many years and many wars.

Napalm is a powder that is mixed with gasoline to set fire and instill fear. It is a gel or thick solution to make it adhere to surfaces.

Napalm will kill or wound by immolation and by asphyxiation. It burns the victims in various degrees. The asphyxiation comes from the carbon monoxide produced, it makes it hard to breathe causing the victims to pass out. A tiny percent of this in the air is fatal within less than an hour because it replaces the oxygen with carbon monoxide.

the above photo

Kim Phuc was the subject of a Pulitzer-Prize winning photograph during the Vietnam War taken. She was a child, running naked down a road, screaming in pain from the napalm that was burning through her skin.

A large amount of carbon monoxide is produced once a napalm bomb is set off, which makes it hard for people to breathe, causing them to pass out and burn. When Napalm ignites, it rapidly deoxygenates the available air. Oxygen is replaced with carbon monoxide (CO) as a result of incomplete combustion. As little as 0.4 percent CO is fatal in one hour because of the high affinity between carbon monoxide and hemoglobin. Napalm creates a localized atmosphere of at least 20 percent carbon monoxide.

old Napalm pictures
old Napalm pictures

By the way, Napalm was developed at Harvard University in 1942 by chemistry professor Louis F. Fiese. I wonder if he knew the horrors that he was working on since so many of the victims of this were civilians

Modern day napalm uses no Napalm (naphthalene or palmitate) — Its a mixture of polystyrene, gasoline and benzene. After the Korean War they tried to make a so called “safer” Napalm.

as a note….

An article by the San Diego Union Tribune revealed on August 5, 2003, that incendiary weapons were in fact used against Iraqi troops in the course of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as Marines were fighting their way to Baghdad. The denial by the US DOD was issued on the technical basis that the incendiaries used consisted primarily of kerosene-based jet fuel (which has a smaller concentration of benzene), rather than the traditional mixture of gasoline and benzene used for napalm, and that these therefore did not qualify as napalm.
